NOKIA Still No 1




Even thow Samsung captured smart phone business market from Nokia, but as for as total mobile phone business consent Nokia is still number one in India.

Cyber media research says that after the smart phone introduced in India, the total mobile phone sale in 2011 increased by 10% that is 18 crore  34 lakh, in 2010 it was 16 crore   65 lakh.

Smart phone sales increased 87% that is 1 crore 12 lakh in 2011.
 In 2010 that was 60 lakh.

Rest of the phone sale was increased by 7% that is 17crore 22 lakh in 2011.
In 2010 that was 16 crore 5 lakh.

In total mobile phone share Nokia have got 31% and stays first place, Samsung have got 15% share, it stays in second place.

Last year in Indian market 30 mobile manufactures released 150 model phones for sale.
In this year 2012, we can expect that the future mobile phones will have NFC, 3D games and some other features.

This year Nokia joined with Microsoft for releasing Nokia phone with upgraded system windows 7.5 mango, so we can expect that Nokia will release many smart phones this year.

Dual sim phones


In total 61% of phones are dual sim phones, last year this was 57%, in this category Nokia captured G5’s first place, which is 13% of dual sim phones are released by Nokia.

Samsung got 8% and it is in second place, Micromax in third place.

In 2011 3G phones are released around 250 models by 30 manufactures, so it increased by 153% that is 1 crore 80 lakh.

But 3G phone have not reached so many people in India, 1 crore 50 lakh people only using 3G in India, The reason is 3G network is not good in India.

We can expect 3G and 4G network will improve this year.
